The importance of information visualization is constantly increasing. More and more information is available in organisations of all kinds, but access to it is often difficult. The open source analysis platform Kibana, which is based on Elasticsearch, offers different possibilities of visualization. In this prototype we would like to explore this as an example.
For example, the importance of research reporting from universities and non-university research institutions to sponsors is increasing. However, insights into the actual output of a research institution are an increasingly important instrument not only for reporting to third parties, but also for research administration.
In this prototype, we would like to visualize information of various kinds, for example fictitious data from VIVO ontology, in order to test the possibilities of Kibana in the context of research evaluation.
