• Many wave phenomena are related to interactions. Considering once neglected interactions in some cases, states of large objects and Newton's idea about measurement, we attempt to modify some concepts and principles of non-relativistic quantum mechanics. Our modifications may help one to understand some typical quantum phenomena with near classical and intuitive ideas without changing past correct results, may mediate some contradictions logically, and then may partially perfect non-relativistic quantum mechanics. We also give a review of the argument between Einstein and Bohr about non-relativistic quantum mechanics simply based on interaction.
  • The term 'quc' is shorthand here for a cosmological -- not a physical -- 'quantum-universe constituent'. Although self-adjoint Hilbert-space angular-momentum and momentum operators unitarily generate quc rotations and spatial displacements, no single-quc is a physical 'thing'. Photons, 3 generations of fermions, plus massive vector and scalar bosons -- all physicist-deemed 'elementary' -- as well as dark matter, galaxies and black holes, within an evolving universe are, we propose, each a temporary 'quc family' that aggregates 8 Noether-conserved quc attributes. No 'thing' is elementary. Here proposed is a thing-devoid 'von-Neumann big bang' -- that established a huge but finite and permanent set of speed-c chiral qucs, with 'masses' M h /2{\tau}c 2 , where M = 1, 2,... M max and {\tau} is 'universe age'. ('Quc-mass', although not physically-meaningful, has the same dimensionality as any thing 's 'mass'.) Quc-aggregate (thing) creations and disappearances -- i.e., 'evolution' -- are symmetry-governed by an 8-parameter 'centered-Lorentz' (CL) Lie group. CL's 6-parameter SL (2, c) Riemann-geometric 'exterior' of quc rotations and hyperbolic spatial displacements, has a conserved algebra of quc angular-momentum together with quc momentum times {\tau}. A 2-parameter non-geometric CL-central algebra comprises a pair of discrete coupled and conserved quc attributes -- electric charge and 'chirality'. Chirality, without any physics counterpart, renders CL a supersymmetry and provides our present universe with nuclear forces -- 'strong interactions'.
  • We consider three clocks A B and D moving with respect to each other in uniform motion. The three paired meetings AB AD and BD show that the three clocks did not run equivalently and hence the three inertial frames co-moving with clocks A B and D may not be considered equivalent. The Michelson-Morley experiment showed the constancy of the circular speed of light when a ray or wave of light returns to its starting point after reflections through mirrors. The realization was that the one-way speed of light is indeterminable as it requires synchronization of spatially separated clocks. The development of a convention to synchronize spatially separated clocks by assuming that the one-way speed of light is constant in all inertial frames sparked a debate as to the validity of this convention due to its metaphysical implications. The Einstein/Poincare Synchronization convention leads to relativity of simultaneity and the space-time continuum that negates the dynamic emergence of future from the present. In this paper we compile evidence for the existence of a unique isotropic inertial frame, an absolute present, and a universal synchronization corresponding to the Einstein Synchronization in the unique isotropic inertial frame that maintains simultaneity across all inertial frames and conforms to the experimental finding that the round trip speed of light is constant in all inertial frames.
  • Retarded potentials of a point-charge are considered, and new ones presented, including potentials of a point-charge moving at the speed of light. The Lienard-Wiechert potential (together with the usual retardation condition) is only one of many retarded four-potentials that satisfy the homogeneous wave equation and the Lorenz Gauge condition in free space. This analysis is in the context of Special Relativity and classical electrodynamics.
  • The Lienard-Wiechert potential is one of the central equations of classical electrodynamics. Among its properties are these: it satisfies the (linear) homogeneous wave equation and Lorenz Gauge condition in free space, it varies inversely with distance from the classical point-source that is movong arbitrarily, and its effects propagate along straight lines at constant speed (the speed of light). Do any other retarded potentials satisfy these properties? It is shown here that other such potentials do exist, and a general formula is derived.
  • For those finite-matrix representations of the Lorentz group of rotations/boosts with spin $(A,B)\oplus(C,D)$ that can also represent translations, two possible translation subgroups qualify. Of these two, one must be selected, and one discarded, to represent the Poincar\'{e} group of rotations/boosts with translations in spacetime. Instead, let us discard the requirement that there be just one translation subgroup. With dual-translations, one gives up agreement with simple macroscopic observations of spacetime. Now the transformations of both possible translation subgroups combine with those of the Lorentz group. The resulting commutation relations require new transformations and generators to satisfy the linearity requirement of a Lie algebra. Special cases of spins are sought to restrict the influx of new transformations. One finds that the Dirac 4-spinor formalism is the only viable solution. The slightly expanded group it represents is the conformal group with just one new transformation, scale change. It follows as a corollary that the Dirac 4-spinor formalism is the only matrix representation of the conformal group with spin $(A,B)\oplus(C,D).$
  • Under the classical non-relativistic consideration of the space-time we propose the model of the laws of gravity and Electrodynamics, invariant under the galilean transformations and moreover, under every change of non-inertial cartesian coordinate system. Being in the frames of non-relativistic model of the space-time, we adopt some general ideas of the General Theory of Relativity, like the assumption of invariance of the most general physical laws in every inertial and non-inertial coordinate system and equivalence of factious forces in non-inertial coordinate systems and the force of gravity. Moreover, in the frames of our model, we obtain that the laws of Non-relativistic Quantum Mechanics also invariant under the change of inertial or non-inertial cartesian coordinate system.
  • In this manuscript, we will discuss the construction of covariant derivative operator in quantum gravity. We will find it is more perceptive to use affine connections more general than metric compatible connections in quantum gravity. We will demonstrate this using the canonical quantization procedure. This is valid irrespective of the presence and nature of sources. The Palatini and metric-affine formalisms, where metric and affine connections are the independent variables, are not sufficient to construct a source-free theory of gravity with affine connections more general than the metric compatible Levi-Civita connections. This is also valid for many minimally coupled interacting theories where sources only couple with metric by using the Levi-Civita connections exclusively. We will discuss potential formalism of affine connections to introduce affine connections more general than metric compatible connections in gravity. We will also discuss possible extensions of the actions for this purpose. General affine connections introduce new fields in gravity besides metric. In this article, we will consider a simple potential formalism with symmetric Ricci tensor. Corresponding affine connections introduce two massless scalar fields. One of these fields contributes a stress-tensor with opposite sign to the sources of Einstein's equation when we state the equation using the Levi-Civita connections. This means we have a massless scalar field with negative stress-tensor in the familiar Einstein equation. These scalar fields can be useful to explain dark energy and inflation. These fields bring us beyond strict local Minkowski geometries.
  • In this paper, we aim to resolve two fundamental issues in the dynamics of relativity: (i) Under what condition, the time-column space integrals of a Lorentz four-tensor constitute a Lorentz four-vector, and (ii) under what condition, the time-element space integral of a Lorentz four-vector is a Lorentz scalar; namely two "conservation laws", which are mispresented in traditional textbooks, and widely used in fundamental research, such as relativistic analysis of the momentum of light in a medium, and the proofs of the positive mass theorem in general relativity. To resolve issue (i), we have developed a generalized Lorentz \emph{four-vector} theorem based on the principles of classical mathematical analysis, with a simplified analytic example given to illustrate how to transform a space integral from one inertial frame to another, and a strict mathematical derivation provided to confirm the effect of Lorentz contraction. We use this four-vector theorem to verify M{\o}ller's theorem, and surprisingly find that M{\o}ller's theorem is fundamentally wrong. We provide a corrected version of M{\o}ller's theorem. We also use this four-vector theorem to analyze a plane light wave in a moving uniform medium, and find that the momentum and energy of Minkowski quasi-photon constitute a Lorentz four-vector and Planck constant is a Lorentz invariant. To resolve issue (ii), we have developed a generalized Lorentz \emph{scalar} theorem. We use this theorem to verify the "invariant conservation law" in relativistic electrodynamics, and unexpectedly find that it is also fundamentally wrong. Thus the two "conservation laws" in traditional textbooks, which have magically attracted several generations of most outstanding scientists, turned out to be imaginary, just like the emperor's new clothes; creating a scientific myth in the modern theoretical and mathematical physics: Believing is seeing.
  • We apply Debbasch proposal to obtain mean metric of coarse graining (statistical ensemble) of quantum perturbed Reissner-Nordst\"{o}m black hole $(RNBH).$ Then we seek its thermodynamic phase transition behavior. Our calculations predict first order phase transition which it can take Bose Einstein's condensation behavior.
  • The two-body problem of variational electrodynamics possesses differential-delay equations of motion with state-dependent delays of neutral type and solutions that can have velocity discontinuities on countable sets. From a periodic orbit possessing some mild properties at breaking points, we define a synchronization function in R x R3, which is further used to construct two bounded oscillatory functions vanishing at breaking points and whose first derivatives are continuous and defined everywhere but at breaking points. The oscillatory functions are associated with a PDE identity in H2(R3), and we postulate ordering conditions for the PDE identity to define a Fredholm-Schroedinger operator with an O(1/r2) spin-orbit forcing term belonging to L2(R3). As an application, we introduce the Chemical Principle criterion to select orbits with asymptotically vanishing far-fields and estimate the Bohr radius parameter of the Fredholm-Schroedinger PDE using the boundary-layer of orbits chosen according to the Chemical Principle criterion. Last, working backward, we derive a Chemical Principle-like condition from the ordering conditions.
  • In a recent Foundations of Physics paper [5] by the current author it was shown that, when the self-force problem of classical electrodynamics is properly solved, it becomes a plausible ontology underlying the statistical description of quantum mechanics. In the current paper we extend this result, showing that ordinary matter, thus represented, possibly suffices in explaining the outstanding observations currently requiring for this task the contrived notions of dark-matter, dark-energy and inflation. The single mandatory `fix' to classical electrodynamics, demystifying both very small and very large scale physics, should be contrasted with other ad hoc solutions to either problems. Instrumental to our cosmological model is scale covariance (and `spontaneous breaking' thereof), a formal symmetry of classical electrodynamics treated on equal footing with its Poincare covariance, which is incompatible with the (absolute) metrical attributes of the GR metric tensor.
  • This article is the second in a series of two presenting the Scale Relativistic approach to non-differentiability in mechanics and its relation to quantum mechanics. Here, we show Schroedinger's equation to be a reformulation of Newton's fundamental relation of dynamics as generalized to non-differentiable geometries in the first paper \cite{paper1}. It motivates an alternative interpretation of the other axioms of standard quantum mechanics in a coherent picture. This exercise validates the Scale Relativistic approach and, at the same time, it allows to identify macroscopic chaotic systems considered at time scales exceeding their horizon of predictability as candidates in which to search for quantum-like structuring or behavior.
  • This article motivates and presents the scale relativistic approach to non-differentiability in mechanics and its relation to quantum mechanics. It stems from the scale relativity proposal to extend the principle of relativity to resolution-scale transformations, which leads to considering non-differentiable dynamical paths. We first define a complex scale-covariant time-differential operator and show that mechanics of non-differentiable paths is implemented in the same way as classical mechanics but with the replacement of the time derivative and velocity with the time-differential operator and associated complex velocity. With this, the generalized form of Newton's fundamental relation of dynamics is shown to take the form of a Langevin equation in the case of stationary motion characterized by a null average classical velocity. The numerical integration of the Langevin equation in the case of a harmonic oscillator taken as an example reveals the same statistics as the stationary solutions of the Schrodinger equation for the same problem. This motivates the rest of the paper, which shows Schrodinger's equation to be a reformulation of Newton's fundamental relation of dynamics as generalized to non-differentiable geometries and leads to an alternative interpretation of the other axioms of standard quantum mechanics in a coherent picture. This exercise validates the scale relativistic approach and, at the same time, it allows to envision macroscopic chaotic systems observed at resolution time-scales exceeding their horizon of predictability as candidates in which to search for quantum-like dynamics and structures.
  • It is demonstrated that the second quantization which is the basis of quantum electrodynamics is introduced without sufficient grounds and even logically inconsistently although it yields extremely accurate predictions that are in excellent agreement with experiment. The physical essence hidden behind the second quantization is discussed as well.
  • It is shown that there is no remote action with polarization measurements of photons in singlet state. A model is presented introducing a hidden parameter which determines the polarizer output. This model is able to explain the polarization measurement results with entangled photons. It refutes Bell's Theorem.
  • Rising to Mach, the problem of establishing the unity of the physical essence of the Universe on all space-time scales of its evolution is, apparently, one of the main problems in contemporary epistemology. The issues are primarily related to the problems of the dynamics of the Universe, namely, the need to postulate hypothetical entities - dark energy and dark matter, whose nature is unknown, but whose contribution to the energy content of the Universe is about 95%. A "severe trial for the entire fundamental theory" turned out to be a discrepancy of 120 orders of magnitude between the experimentally established value of the cosmological constant and the calculated value of the energy density of the physical vacuum. Sharp questions arise also regarding the physical essence of gravitation and the nature of its unique smallness as compared with other interactions - nuclear ones, strong and weak, as well as electromagnetic ones. Sufficiently acute problems in the perception of the Universe as a single holistic system arise also at the level of microscales. First of all, we mean here the so called low-energy nuclear reactions, which are realized in the conditions of nonequilibrium low temperature plasma. The fundamental problems of such processes are usually not widely discussed, and many physicists are very critical of the very possibility of implementing such processes. Our main hypothesis for understanding the key problems of contemporary fundamental physics, including the indicated cosmological problems as well as a new class of electron-initiated nuclear chemical processes, is to introduce the basic reference system associated with the electromagnetic component of physical vacuum - EM vacuum of the expanding Universe, with a selection of global time t, being common for all points of the expanding Universe and measured starting from the time of t = 0, which corresponds to the Big Bang.
  • This is a short introduction to affine and convex spaces, written especially for physics students. It summarizes different elementary presentations available in the mathematical literature, and blends analytic- and geometric-flavoured presentations. References are also provided, as well as a brief discussion of Grassmann spaces and an example showing the relevance and usefulness of affine spaces in Newtonian physics.
  • A classical model is presented for persistent currents in superconductors. Their existence is argued to be warranted because their decay would violate the second law of thermodynamics. This conclusion is achieved by analyzing comparatively Ohm's law and the Joule effect in normal metals and superconducting materials. Whereas Ohm's law applies in identical terms in both cases, the Joule effect is shown to cause the temperature of a superconducting sample to \textit{decrease}. An experiment is proposed to check the validity of this work in superconductors of both types I and II.
  • In the de Broglie-Bohm formulation of quantum theory, the quantum force exactly cancels the Coulomb attractive force in atomic \emph{s}-states. In this paper it is contended, based on energy conservation, that the force on a charge in a time-advanced electromagnetic field is of opposite sign to the Lorentz force due to the retarded field, and that such an advanced classical electromagnetic force accounts for part of Bohm's quantum force. If Coulomb attraction is negated, then some other mechanism must bind electrons to the nuclei of atoms. It is proposed magnetic interactions between relativistically-moving charges may account for atomic binding without assumption of a Coulomb potential. If charged spin-half particles always move luminally, as the Dirac theory implies, and so moving give rise to the intrinsic magnetic moment, then magnetic spin-spin interactions stronger than currently recognized are to be expected. Part of the magnetic interaction between equal-mass Dirac particles has been previously shown to be radial and inverse-square, of equal strength to Coulomb interaction, and sinusoidally modulated by interparticle separation with a spatial period equal the de Broglie wavelength. The Coulomb-like spin-spin interaction is further elaborated to show explicit correspondence with the de Broglie matter wave and Schr\"odinger wavefunction. It is proposed spin-spin interactions as expected according to this line of reasoning can properly account for the formation of atoms, if the electromagnetic interaction in atoms is classical and time symmetric, and if quarks and leptons are composed of more-fundamental spin-half particles.
  • In this study, the Majorana equation for particles with arbitrary spin is solved for a half-integer spin free particle. The solution for the fundamental state, corresponding to the reference frame in which the particle is at rest, is compared with that obtained using the Dirac equation, especially as regards the approximation in the relativistic limit, in which the speed of the particle is close to that of light. Furthermore, the solutions that Majorana defines unphysical, proving that their occupation probability increases with the particle velocity, are taken into consideration. The anomalous behavior exhibited by these states also shows that for high-energy particles with small mass, transitions from a bradyonic state to a tachyonic state become possible.
  • In present article the original proposition is a generalization of the Einstein's world tensor $g_{ij}$ by the introduction of pure inertial field tensor $g^{ac}_{ij}$ such that $R_{{\mu}{\nu}{\lambda}}^{{\alpha}}(g^{ac}_{ij})\neq0$.Bimetric theory of gravitational-inertial field is considered for the case when the gravitational-Inertial field is governed by either a perfect magnetic fluid. In a series of papers published during the past decade with respect to M\"ossbauer experiments in a rotating system [71]-[75],it has been experimentally shown that the relative energy shift {\Delta}E/E between the source of resonant radiation (situated at the center of the rotating system) and the resonant absorber (located on the rotor rim) is described by the relationship ${\Delta}E/E=-ku^2/c^2$, where u is the tangential velocity of the absorber, c the velocity of light in vacuum, and k some coefficient, which -- contrary to what had been classically predicted equal 1/2 (see for example [35]) -- turns out to be substantially larger than 1/2. It cannot be stressed enough that the equality $k=1/2$ had been predicted by general theory of relativity (GTR) on account of the special relativistic time dilation effect delineated by the tangential displacement of the rotating absorber, where the "clock hypothesis" by Einstein (i.e., the non-reliance of the time rate of any clock on its acceleration [35]) was straightly adopted. Hence, the revealed inequality $k>1/2$ indicates the presence of some additional energy shift (next to the usual time dilation effect arising from tangential displacement alone) between the emitted and absorbed resonant radiation. By using Bimetric Theory of Gravitational-Inertial Field [76] we obtain $k=0.75$ in a good agreement with experimental result $k=0.69+(-)0.03$ [75].
  • In this paper we leave the neighborhood of the singularity at the origin and turn to the singularity at the horizon. Using nonlinear superdistributional geometry and supergeneralized functions it seems possible to show that the horizon singularity is not only a coordinate singularity without leaving Schwarzschild coordinates. However the Tolman formula for the total energy $E$ of a static and asymptotically flat spacetime, gives $E=mc^2$, as it should be. New class Colombeau solutions to Einstein field equations is obtained.New class Colombeau solutions to Einstein field equations is obtained. The vacuum energy density of free scalar quantum field ${\Phi}$ with a distributional background spacetime also is considered. It has been widely believed that, except in very extreme situations, the influence of acceleration on quantum fields should amount to just small, sub-dominant contributions. Here we argue that this belief is wrong by showing that in a Rindler distributional background spacetime with distributional Levi-Civit\`a connection the vacuum energy of free quantum fields is forced, by the very same background distributional space-time such a Rindler distributional background space-time, to become dominant over any classical energy density component. This semiclassical gravity effect finds its roots in the singular behavior of quantum fields on a Rindler distributional space-times with distributional Levi-Civit\`a connection. In particular we obtain that the vacuum fluctuations $<{\Phi}^2({\delta})>$ have a singular behavior at a Rindler horizon $\delta = 0$.Therefore sufficiently strongly accelerated observer burns up near the Rindler horizon. Thus Polchinski account does not violate of the Einstein equivalence principle.
  • A description of the motion in noninertial reference frames by means of the inclusion of high time derivatives is studied. Incompleteness of the description of physical reality is a problem of any theory, both in quantum mechanics and classical physics. The ``stability principle'' is put forward. We~also provide macroscopic examples of noninertial mechanics and verify the use of high-order derivatives as nonlocal hidden variables on the basis of the equivalence principle when acceleration is equal to the gravitational field. Acceleration in this case is a function of high derivatives with respect to time. The~definition of dark metrics for matter and energy is presented to replace the standard notions of dark matter and dark energy. In the Conclusion section, problem symmetry is noted for noninertial mechanics.
  • While it is widely acknowledged that quantum theory is strange, and that the world view it implies is elusive, there is considerably less consensus as to why this is the case. This article will explore the possibility that the theory may be opaque because the mathematical language it employs is inarticulate. To address this possibility, three interconnected mathematical theories will be developed, each specifically designed to handle aspects of quantum theory's subject matter. The first will describe dynamic systems in terms that are general enough to be applicable to any kind dynamics, including both classical and quantum. That description will then be used to construct a theory of experiments, with the aim of understanding what types of experiments scientific methodology allows. Finally, the theory of experiments will found a theory of experimental probabilities applicable to any collection of experiments, so long as their probabilities are internally consistent. The resulting over-arching mathematical language will then be applied to quantum theory. In the initial application, it will be used to explain the core nature and structure of quantum measurement and probability. Following that, it will be used to explore quantum theory's models. Like any theory written in a mathematical language, quantum theory derives its meaning from its class of models. To understand the class quantum models, two models of central importance will be described. The first will be a conceptually simple construction that follows almost immediately from the above theory of dynamics. It fully satisfies both quantum theory and the above mentioned theory of experimentation; additionally, its macroscopic objects obey classical mechanics. The second will utilize a minimal amount of mathematical structure to satisfy the same conditions.
